Refunds, deposits, and rescheduling

This policy applies to professional audit and readiness engagements described on this site. It does not cover software licences, physical goods, or subscription products, which we do not sell.

Eligibility

Fees paid under a signed engagement letter may be refunded in whole or in part according to the notice periods below. Informal website enquiries carry no charge and therefore no refund.

Deposits

Assurance engagements typically require a 30% deposit to reserve fieldwork weeks. The deposit is credited against the final fee. If you cancel more than fourteen days before the agreed start date, the deposit is refundable minus any non-recoverable travel already booked at your written request.

Full and partial refunds

Cancellation fourteen days or more before fieldwork start: full refund of fees paid, less documented out-of-pocket costs approved by you. Cancellation within fourteen days: up to 50% of fees for work not yet performed may be retained for reserved auditor time. After fieldwork begins: fees for completed stages (scoping memorandum, sample selection, testing days completed) are non-refundable; unused remaining stages may be refunded proportionally.

Non-refundable items

Completed working papers, issued draft or final memoranda, and third-party confirmation fees already incurred are non-refundable. Day-rate travel already taken is non-refundable.

Rescheduling and no-shows

One reschedule with at least seven days’ notice is accepted without penalty, subject to calendar availability. Client no-shows for agreed on-site days may be billed as performed days. Ferry or weather delays affecting Kinmen visits are rescheduled without penalty when documented.

Work already started

Once document-room access is granted and sample selection begins, scoping and planning fees are earned. Partial refunds apply only to unperformed later stages listed in the engagement letter.

Process and timing

Email refund requests to hello@routingplatforms.digital with the engagement reference and reason. We confirm eligibility within five business days and process approved refunds within fourteen business days to the original payment method.
