Maple Crest Audit Office grew from fieldwork with payment and remittance finance teams who needed independent eyes on custody balances — not another slide deck about industry trends.
Origin
The practice opened on Watery Lane in Kinmen County after years of secondments inside Taiwanese clearing and wallet operators. Founders saw that fintech audits stall when teams treat settlement suspense as “ops noise” instead of a financial control. Maple Crest was formed to give boards a memorandum that names owners, samples, and remediation without dressing findings as product advice.
Working approach
We scope tightly, freeze periods early, and circulate draft findings for factual correction before anything is ranked. Fieldwork may sit in Kinmen, Taipei, or a shared document room; the standard does not change with the room.
